What if a memory could occupy space?
TRACE is a speculative memory infrastructure that transforms personal experiences into physical artifacts.
Today, thousands of images, messages, and recordings disappear into endless digital archives. We capture more than ever, yet rarely return to what we save. Memory becomes abundant, invisible, and easy to forget.
TRACE proposes a different relationship with remembering.
Each experience is translated through three coordinates—time, emotion, and context—and encoded into a modular physical unit. Users capture a moment, define its meaning, assemble its form, and place it within a personal archive.
The result is not another storage application.
It is a spatial system for constructing memory.
Through objects, interfaces, and archival structures, TRACE turns remembering into an active ritual. Memories can be held, arranged, connected, and revisited—not as files hidden inside a device, but as physical evidence of a lived experience.
TRACE asks a simple question:
If our memories had weight, shape, and permanence, would we value them differently?
